Account Tracker 4.4 now available

aticon57 atficon57 Added support for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus (at full native resolution).

Added a new advanced setting for the default date when adding a new transaction (last date). I had previously changed the app to use the date of the last transaction entered, however on reflection a setting for this would be better. It now defaults to today (PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE), however if you prefer the new (old!) way, you can set it to use the date of the last transaction entered instead.

Added a couple of new warnings when editing the transaction type and/or accounts on an existing recurring series. These values CANNOT be changed per-occurrence.

Added a new warning about why the transfer amounts might all be zero.

Minor changes to the settings screen.

Minor improvements to the alert (notification) messages.

iCloud Drive and OS X Yosemite

October 16, 2014 Comments off

With the new OS X Yosemite release, Apple have introduced a new feature called iCloud Drive (just like they did with iOS 8 a month ago). This is a bit like Dropbox and promises to be a better way to interface to iCloud itself.

Unfortunately once enabled (ON ANY DEVICE!), all of your files are migrated and they become inaccessible to any device NOT running iOS 8 or Yosemite (OS X). This makes it a bit of a problem for users that need compatibility between multiple OS versions.

For now I would STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to hold off enabling iCloud Drive, unless you can do without iCloud support in my apps.

Having said that, iCloud Drive does work, but clearly only between iOS 8 devices and Mac’s running Yosemite.

Please see Apple’s FAQ on iCloud Drive.

Hill Lists 4.3.1 now available

hlicon57 Fixed the iOS 8 display issue on the iPhone 5/5S introduced in my last update. As a reminder, this included the following changes …

Added support for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus (at full native resolution).

Added support for the Sims (600m summits) and the Fellranger and Synge (Lake District) lists.

Added a new option to use your device location. This requires agreeing to a disclaimer to NOT rely on/use it for navigation purposes, which I hope is common sense. In other words … IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK ALL THE INFORMATION PROVIDED AND TO NAVIGATE USING A MAP AND COMPASS! Once enabled, the maps will show your current location, and there is a new option per hill that shows roughly how far you are away from the summit.

Upgraded to version 14.1 of the Database of British and Irish Hills (DoBIH).

Meter Readings 4.2.3 now available
